Acciaroli is a little village near the sea, inside the Cilento Park. Every year Acciaroli has gained important awards like “5 vele” by Legambiente e “Bandiera Blu” due to its clear waters and its high grade in tourist services. Thanks to its very old port, its city centre made up of small paths and its suggestive houses built in traditional stone and its coloured seabed Acciaroli has became a wonderful place where you can find the most charming tranquility.

During summer period the paths of city centre, the amazing “piazzetta”, the large squares in front of the old port get crowded and become lovely meeting points. The old port gives hospitality to the fishing boats of Acciaroli’s navy. During summer period it becomes landing place and crossroads of many boats that find the best equipment and proper services of which they need for their amusement.

Acciaroli, from July to September, is also a calling-port; in fact the “Metrò del Mare” carries out a maritime transfer from Cilento coast resorts to Salerno, Capri and Naples. Places of interest

Annunziata Church. Built in 1100 d.C. it has got a precious bell-tower.

Norman ancient tower. In past time, it had a double purpose. It was, at the same time, a protecting wall of the built-up area and it was a ring of the bigger chain of towers build in order to defend coasts of Salerno city.

Vinciprova Palace. It is located in the very close hamlet of Pioppi. Vinciprova palace gives hospitality to the” Living museum of the sea” and to the “Living museum of Mediterranean diet, Ancel Keys”.

Capano Castle. It is located in Pollica. It is a municipality’s property from 1997.
